This is a wonderfully fragrant bold tea made with organic dark black tea, finely minced dried sweet organic apricots and organic marigold ( calendula ) whole flowers.

This rich black energy tea blend has a high caffeine content compared to our other green teas and herbal blends. It is high in antioxidants, will boost alertness and helps to improve metabolism.

Black tea is a type of tea that is more oxidized than green teas. Black tea is generally stronger in flavor than other teas. Both black tea and green tea are made from leaves of the shrub Camellia sinensis.

Some studies show that compounds in black tea were capable of killing or reducing cavity causing bacteria in plaque to where drinking teas may aid in preventing gum disease and prohibit cavities.

Calendula officinalis (C. officinalis), commonly known as pot marigold, is a medicinal herb with excellent antimicrobial, wound healing, and anti-inflammatory activity. It is used in many mouth washes and even toothpaste. Calendula is effective in reducing dental plaque and gingivitis.

Steep 1 teaspoon but no more than 1 tablespoon of this herb blend in one cup of very hot water ( 4-6oz ) for 8-10 minutes while covered. Strain and enjoy hot or iced with raw honey and stevia. We recommend no more than 2-3 cups per day.

Each pouch makes 10 full cups of herbal tea.

Vanilla and Cinnamon go very well with this blend.
