We offer local raw honey from our on site apiary along with naturally infused flavored honey.
Occasionally, we are able to offer up specialty honey with comb. This comb honey is harvested straight from the hive and is NOT screened. This means that you will find bits of pollen and propolis along with wax and honeycomb.
Each jar offers a nice chunk off capped closed comb with some open cell honey comb with the jars slightly overfilled with honey.
We also offer on occasion, a very rare product called Ambrosia. Ambrosia is raw bee pollen that has been packed tightly into the wax cells in its dried natural form, covered in raw honey and then capped by the bees. It is one step from being created into Royal Jelly and is one of the most valued and sought after products from the hive. Ambrosia is not sold in the stores and most are never given the opportunity to purchase. Ambrosia is considered a super food and very medicinal with its natural plant based protein, high content of vitamins, minerals and valuable nutrients. When eating Ambrosia, consider its high potency and only consume 1 tablespoon per day. Consume within 6 months for maximum potency.
Pollen traps are used sometimes when we feel that there is an abundance of pollen and during high season when our local flora offers large amounts of pollen to the bees. We only harvest small amounts of this raw local pollen to not disturb our bees or possibly take away from their nutrition. Using 1/4th teaspoon per day should be adequate in order to take advantage of its benefits. Store your pollen in the fridge, freezer or cool pantry for best results. Consume within 6 months for max potency.
