Plants , Herbs and Seeds

We are a farm based product business and grow most of our own plants and herbs.

We are very particular with what we grow with many of our plants being heirloom and organic.  We do grow flowers to encourage pollinators, fill in spaces between the herbs and for our own enjoyment. All of our seeds are heirloom organic that come from many generations back and we hand select the premium flowers to then use for reseeding the next generation.

We are not a public nursery but on occasion and depending on the season, we are able to offer up extras from our plant stock.

Black eyed susan - This is an heirloom seed that will mature to the height of around 12 inches tall. Very easy to establish and it will reseed itself each year. Direct sow outdoors at about 1/4th inch in soil and requires full sun but partial sun can work. This flower requires lots of water to reach its full potential and sandy soil will work.  Takes about 7-14 days to germinate. These make excellent long lasting cut flowers. This flower attracts a large amount of pollinators  and are needed for a successful vegetable and herb garden. Each packet is measured at 1/2 tsp which gives you 100's of very tiny seeds. Be sure to plant on a non windy day or use a light colored paper towel for them to stick on, to make it easier to see them.

Loofah - This is an heirloom seed that we have been growing for over 15 years that will need lots of space to climb and grow. We offer 2 varieties, the Egyptian and common Asian that grow very well here.  The more space that it has, the more productive it will be. Very easy to establish and will give you a large quantity of seeds to replant each year. Direct sow outdoors at about 1/2 inc in the soil and water well until established. Sandy soil and direct sun friendly but will grow in the shade too. Takes about 5-7 days to germinate. Each packet is measured at 1 Tbs which is approx 50 seeds.  Leaves, flowers and 4 inch loofah are edible and the honeybees adore this plant. Allow loofah to mature when it starts to turn yellow or brown for beautiful sponges.

Butterfly Pea Flower - A gorgeous delicate vining plant with rich purple blooms. These are heirloom seeds and you can collect the seed pods once dried on the vine or allow it to reseed on its own.  Easy to establish in sandy soil and full sun with planting seeds about 1/4th inch in the soil. Water well until established. This vine can be trained for low boarder trellis or allow it to climb tall. Entire plant is edible with the flowers being most desirable to dry and make herbal tea. Flowers are edible and can be incorporated into all kinds of foods and drinks. Each packet is measured at 1/2 tsp which is approximately 40-50 seeds.

French Marigold - A super bee friendly marigold that thrives in sandy soil and loves full sun! These are heirloom seeds that will keep on giving each season and will give you both yellow and orange blooms. Easy to establish with planting at 1/4th depth and to keep watering until established. This particular marigold attracts butterflies, honey bees and make great long lasting cut flowers. Each packet is measured at 2 unpacked tablespoons and will give you approximately 150 seeds. Allow flowers to dry on bush to then dead head and keep seeds to replant or will keep for next season. Unlike store bought marigolds, these are heirloom and produce both nectar, pollen and are not stunted by residual pesticides.

We are hoping to add more seed options soon that include echinacea, calendula, mammoth sunflower, roselle hibiscus, plant root stock and a few others. Seeds are price dependent on availability, amount of seeds, collection labor, labels & packaging.
