We offer a seasonal Elderberry Jam that is homemade here in our kitchen lab.
We are blessed to have our own wild native Elderberries that offer us a bumper crop during the warmer wet season. With the extra berries, we are able to offer up a rich jam that is made with our berries and raw organic cane sugar.
Elderberries do not contain natural pectin like most fruits and berries. Pectin is required for a jam or jelly to "set" and thicken. This jam is made with whole berry and is a thinner consistency and offers many more uses than just a jam. It can be "drizzled" and used as a topping on ice cream , yogurt, oatmeal, on pancakes and breads . It is easier to blend with plain water to enhance a beverage and It can easily be used for cocktails.
No additives, no corn syrup, no added flavoring or preservatives. These jars are hot processed for stability and can be stored in the pantry for up to a year. Once the jar is opened and the seal is released, then it will need to be kept in the refrigerator.
Our Elderberries as well as all our other plants are grown on our land that is organically kept and has been for over 15 years. All of our berries are wild crafted sustainably in the wild and are not grown nursery style.
12 oz volume mason canning jar with metal screw top lid.
I absolutely love elderberry jam. My dad used to make this as a kid growing up so it reminds me of that. It is absolutely delicious
