This is a medium dark roast coffee replacement that can be enjoyed on its own, as a Chai or blend with your own personal coffee bean. You can absolutely blend this 50/50 with fresh ground coffee to substitute the amounts that you normally like to drink. When brewed on its own, it is a dark rich bold beverage that replicates traditional coffee.
It offers a similar aroma to fresh ground coffee and can be enjoyed with cream and sweetener, just like traditional coffee. Brew it in a coffee press or use your herbal tea accessories with 1 Tablespoon per 1 cup of very hot to boiling water and steep for 10 to 15 minutes.
Chicory is in the Dandelion family and the root is commonly used as a coffee substitute. This herbal root is composed of a 68% inulin composition. We are using a small percentage of licorice root, which you will see as a yellowish tan fine shredding in the blend.
