Herbal Tea - Relaxation Blend

We make all our own herbal tea blends in house and they are all made with organic sustainable herbs.

The Relaxation tea is a hand blend that includes lavender, dill seed, chamomile flowers and catnip. We grow all of these herbs on our farm and then dry them in small batches.

Studies suggest that compounds in lavender may stimulate activity in certain areas of the brain and influence the transmission of impulses between brain cells to help calm and relax. Lavender offers antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties both externally and internally when used in tea.

Dill seed is very high in calcium, helps to sooth and calm the tummy and has been shown to assist with anxiety.

Chamomile offers a very long list of benefits and has been used for thousands of years to help with sleep, digestive issues and relaxation. Inflammation is the immune systems way of fighting infection. Chamomile can help with inflammation that causes us to be uncomfortable and to help you relax.

The unexpected Catnip in this blend is the key ingredient that brings all of the above together and work in unison to create one the the best relaxation teas without making you feel groggy.  Catnip has a calming effect on the body. Catnip contains nepetalactone, which is similar to the valepotriates found in a commonly used herbal sedative, valerian. The combination of all the herbs can  boost mood and reduce anxiety, restlessness, and nervousness.

This is a welcomed cup of herbal tea to be consumed just before bedtime or during stressful times. It goes very well with our Lavender Infused Raw Honey.

Steep 1 teaspoon up to 1 tablespoon in 4-6 ounces of  hot water (not boiling), covered, for 8-10 minutes.

Loose leaf tea pouch offers 10 servings total

Perfect way to end the day

Stress has been big in my world…this tea is the perfect way to unwind & get ready for bed.

I was, initially, a little skeptical of the dill in this tea. I am a huge dill fan but wasn't sure how it would play out in tea. Well, I should not have been worried or scared. It gives this blend a beautiful note and I enjoy unwinding with a cup of this after a long day.
