Blended in house with organic mullein leaf ( Verbascum thapsus ), organic elderflower, organic echinacea root ( purpurea ), and organic ginger root.
This is a custom blend with some of the most important herbs to support the upper respiratory and cough with the base of the blend being Mullein Leaf.
According to research, Mullein is a cross between the demulcents and saponin-bearing expectorants, which makes it effective in alleviating conditions such as bronchitis with a persistent cough, dry hacking coughs, whooping cough, colds, flu and sinusitis. The saponins contained in Mullein also exhibit anti-viral properties, further adding to its effectiveness against flu and other complaints caused by viruses.
Drink 3 to 4 cups per day and you may add raw honey for additional wellness benefits. If being used to help with a cough, sip slowly to allow the warm liquid to sooth and calm. This tea can be made into a popsicle or ice cubes to allow the coolness to sooth an inflamed throat.
When preparing, steep1 Tbs of the herbs in 1 cup water while covered, for 8 to 10 minutes and then strain.
Each packet contains 10 full tablespoons.
I was looking for a tea with mullein leaf in it when I had a respiratory illness recently. I was gifted this one by my amazing sister and it helped my so much. It was a great addition to the honey I was also gifted. I have since purchased more to use now and then and keep on hand for the winter.
This is one to keep on hand for such a time as this. Whether you feel under the weather or have allergies, sip on this with a little added honey...you’ll be glad you did.
I grateful to have this tea as part of the options to alleviate dry coughing for my elderly mother. She loves it with her Honey. I like it plain.
