Tummy Tincture - Digestive support

The Tummy Tincture is a blend of supportive herbs for the digestive tract. We have individually hand crafted and extracted each organic herb separately and then combined them appropriately to work together in  a synergy to help give relief for several ailments that many suffer from today. Our blend includes ginger root, fennel, chickweed, chamomile and slippery elm that are all grown organically.

This is an adult product that helps with cramps, bloating, gas, abdominal pain and IBS. The blend offers anti-inflammatory, carminative, anti spasmodic and relaxing herbs to sooth discomfort of the digestive system. This tincture could also assist with acid reflux and additionally diverticulitis.

Social events, chronic worry and stress can take a physical toll on your digestive system. When you are anxious, chemicals are released by your body and enter the digestive tract to then interfere with digestion.  Emotions and stress can absolutely cause severe stomachaches and other digestive upset because of the highly sensitive nerves throughout the gut. It is very important to keep stress and anxiety in check as it will disrupt the intestinal barrier, making it weaker and allow gut bacteria enter the body.

Another reason for stomachache would be food allergies, over eating or not eating in time when your body is telling you that it is hungry. If you wait to long to eat, you will feel tension and cramping to the point that even eating, will not ease the pain.

Ginger root (Zingiber officinale) has been clinically proven as a safe remedy for the prevention and treatment for digestive upset. A pungent herb with drying qualities that acts as a stimulant, diaphoretic, antidepressant and assists with digestion of nutrients. Ginger root aids diverticulitis and food allergies.

Chamomile (Matricaria recutita ) is used as a gentle sedative for nerves and anxiety with anti inflammatory properties. Naturally antiseptic, antispasmodic and a valuable digestive aid. The percentage of herb in this blend will not make you feel sleepy.

Fennel seed  (Foeniculum vulgare) is a warming herb that is a carminative, antispasmodic and an antidepressant. This herb has been noted to assist with irritable bowel, gas and cramping.

Chickweed (Stellaria media) is used alot around our farm and its outstanding to sooth inflammation, is cooling and balances our other herbs in this blend.  Offers mild pain relief when the abdomen is in distress.

Slippery Elm ( Ulmus fulva ) is our powerhouse that is used for any sort of inflammation or irritation in the digestive tract.  It is a proven remedy for  indigestion, gas, food allergies, stomach ulcers, heartburn, hiatus hernia, colitis and diverticulitis

This tincture is blended for the ages of 15 yrs and older. Do not use this tincture or even an half dose for children or infants. We recommend other tincture (simples) such as ginger root or chamomile on their own for children's stomach upset or a gentle herbal tea.

Preventative care - Use one full dropper full ( about 30 drops ) in a minimum of 4 ounces of liquid such as water or blended into any beverage. We have always used this tincture in the morning to start the day but feel free to take it at the time of day that works best for you.  All tinctures need to be diluted because they are super concentrated extractions in a cane alcohol gluten free  menstruum.

Treatment Dose- This works very well to take just before a stressful event or at the first sign of stomach pain. You may use up to 3 separate dropper fulls throughout the day for times in need.  Do not use large amounts of this particular tincture at one sitting. We never recommend high tincture doses for long term, over 90 days. You may use the preventative dose daily for long term.

Contradictions - This is a combination of several herbs that are not considered a full dose of a "single" herb but a less amount of each to then form a strong blend.  With this said, please keep in mind that it is important to still follow guidelines for the individual herbs. Fennel is not recommended for anyone with hormone sensitive conditions such as breast cancer.  All herbs in this blend are "GRAS" and approved for daily use in adults.

It offers a fragrant floral licorice taste and blends well with water, green tea, hibiscus and lemon water.
